Kenya 7s is set to face Germany on Sunday evening in a decisive match that could secure their return to the HSBC SVNS Series.

A win tomorrow will guarantee Kenya's place in the prestigious series.

Kenya 7s kicked off June with a big win, defeating Chile 36-7 in their final pool match on Saturday, June 1.

Their performance in the tournament's opening games was mixed, with a win against Samoa but a loss to Spain.

Determined to finish strong, they started their match against Chile with high energy.

John Okoth was the star player, using his speed to break through the defense and score in the left corner, giving Kenya a 5-0 lead after a missed conversion.

Okoth continued his streak, scoring another try in the same spot. Despite pressure and a review by the TMO, the try was awarded.

Chile responded with a converted try from Cristobal Game, closing the score gap.

In the final minutes of the first half, Kenya's teamwork shone.

Okoth's strong run led to a pass from Tony Omondi to Chrissant Ojwang, who scored under the posts, extending Kenya's lead with a converted try.

Even after Patrick Odongo left the field with an injury, Kenya remained strong.

Scrum half Samuel Asati made a smart run off the scrum to score the fourth try under the posts.

Vincent Onyala added the fifth try with an easy center post score.

George Ooro finished the game with another center post try after a clever move, sealing an impressive win for Kenya.

Shujaa now looks ahead to Sunday for a crucial match that will determine their series qualification.
