Fafi Member of Parliament Salah Yakub has, for the second year, launched zero fees for secondary schools in the constituency.

Speaking in Nanigi ward on Saturday, the MP said the initiative is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on parents and raising the educational standards in the area.

The programme covers all the costs of sending Form One students to the schools in Fafi Constituency.

"We buy all the requirements needed for admission to the said schools, including mattresses, uniforms, books, and other essential needs," he said.

The programme also takes care of full fee payment for all the students.

The lawmaker told parents that if they have students in the seven secondary schools within the constituency, they are now only required to take their children to school.

"As part of this initiative, we issued several cheques to the seven secondary schools in Fafi, ensuring comprehensive coverage of free education," he added.
