In a shocking revelation, Fafi MP Salah Yakub has come forward to report an alleged assault by police officers at Nyayo House, detailing a harrowing encounter that left him injured on his left foot and arm. Taking to social media, the MP posted on his X account a troubling account of the incident.

"I was assaulted by police at Nyayo and got injured on my left foot and arm," the Fafi MP declared on X platform, shedding light on a concerning pattern of mistreatment. According to Yakub, a policewoman, who he claims heads the security at Nyayo House, has been allegedly extorting money from Kenya Somalis who applied for passports, using it as a means to gain access to the premises. Disturbingly, he accuses her of mishandling several MPs from the North Eastern Province (NEP), with him being the sixth victim of such humiliation.

"There is a policewoman heading the security there. She collects money from Kenya Somalis who applied for a passport in order for them to access the premises and she verily mishandled most NEP MPs. Am the 6th MP to be humiliated by that contingent. Waziri, take action!" he urged in his social media post.

Expressing his dismay over the incident, the Fafi MP highlighted the broader issue of police misconduct at Nyayo House. "Very unfortunate that police officers at Nyayo House are mishandling the general public, and today I fell a victim, roughed up and seriously assaulted. Sustained injuries at my left foot and arm," he wrote, bringing attention to a serious breach of trust and abuse of power.
