Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has called for the deployment of enforcement teams to all areas prone to flooding.

The auuthority said the sudden siltation occured at Suswa area, about 27 kilometres from Mai Mahiu town towards Narok.

Government sources say a record 300 people have lost their lives, with 185,297 individuals displaced by the floods.
