"I love watching Manchester United play. They are my favourite team, and I always wear their jersey on weekends when I watch games with my friends,” 23-year-old, a resident of Eastleigh Ahmed, tells Eastleigh voice.

25-year-old Ali, also an Eastleigh resident all his life, says he loves representing his local team in annual tournaments.

"I love playing football and am proud to represent my team in the local tournaments. Football brings us together as a community, and it is evident in our passion for the game,” he says.

“I am a big fan of Lionel Messi. He is the best player in the world, and I always wear his Barcelona jersey when I play football with my friends. The Annual Kamukunji Peace Cup is a great opportunity for us to compete against other teams from the neighbourhood,” Another Eastleigh resident, Fatima (19), explains.

As the Eastleigh community continues to embrace the beautiful game, the future of football looks bright, with new opportunities for young local athletes to showcase their talents and for the community to further develop its rich sporting culture.
