The two discussed bilateral relations, regional collaboration, and global issues.

Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Tuesday concluded a two-day visit to Eritrea where he engaged in significant discussions with President Isaias Afwerki.

The two discussed bilateral relations, regional collaboration, and global issues.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of working closely together and approaching challenges with a positive and patient attitude.

President Mohamud stressed the need to safeguard their nation and collaborate with others to ensure its security.

The Eritrean government is set to release comprehensive statements regarding the discussions in the near future.

Subsequent to his trip to Eritrea, President Mohamud received an official invitation from Egyptian President Abdelfattah Elsisi and will be embarking on a visit to Egypt soon.

This visit coincides with Egypt's call for the respect of Somalia's unity and territorial integrity, particularly in light of a recent navy base agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland.

"Do not push us into knocking on doors we have not knocked on before. We will defend our state, cooperate with anyone to defend it," stated President Mahamud.
