The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to the ongoing dialogue facilitated by the National Dialogue Committee. As a core member of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition, the party through a press statement emphasized the critical importance of addressing the collective concerns of the Kenyan populace, particularly pertaining to governance and economic matters.

"We firmly believe that the success of these talks is contingent upon their ability to resonate with the collective hopes and address the concerns expressed by the people of Kenya," read part of the statement.

The ODM Party reiterated its strong support for the five key issues put forth by the AZIMIO delegation for discussion, including taming the high cost of living, ensuring electoral justice, restructuring the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), upholding fidelity to multiparty democracy, and respecting the rights of political parties.

Amidst ongoing talks, the party expressed concern over attempts by Kenya Kwanza to downplay the critical importance of addressing the cost of living. "The high cost of living remains our top priority and is non-negotiable for us," emphasized ODM in the press statement.

However, the party voiced apprehension regarding the participation of institutions such as the World Bank and IMF in the upcoming forum convened by NADCO, citing previous advice that contributed to the nation's current challenges. The party urged its delegation led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to stand firm and not accept any deal that does not adequately address the crucial issue of the cost of living.
