Mudavadi heads to Kinshasa to ease tensions with DRC

Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is scheduled to depart for Kinshasa Thursday morning to de-escalate tensions between Nairobi and Kinshasa, announced Foreign PS Korir Sing'oei on Wednesday evening.

He will also deliver a presidential message of goodwill from President William Ruto, emphasising Kenya's commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial partnership.
This diplomatic mission follows the resumption of Kenya Airways' daily flights to Kinshasa from Nairobi, which were previously postponed due to the arrest and detention of Kenyan airline staff by Congolese Military intelligence.
The staff have since been released.
