Six killed in Narok road crash

The collision occurred when the Subaru Forester attempted to overtake another vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision with the Toyota Sienta.

Six people were killed after being involved in a car crash along the Narok- Mulot road in Narok.

According to a police report, the incident occurred on Sunday night, April 21, 2024, around 10 pm at the Silanga area, approximately 15 kilometres from the Narok Police Station.

The collision involved two vehicles: a Toyota Sienta with registration number KCW 804X, driven by Eric Lang'at, aged about 34 years, and a Subaru Forester registered as KCX 062P, driven by Ronald Lang'at, aged 38 years.

"The Toyota Sienta was carrying six occupants at the time of the accident," reads the report.

The collision occurred when the Subaru Forester attempted to overtake another vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision with the Toyota Sienta.

"Upon reaching the scene of the accident, the vehicles collided head-on when Subaru Forester tried to overtake another motor vehicle," said the police.

As a result, all occupants of the Sienta died on the spot while the Subaru driver sustained minor injuries.

"The driver of the Subaru Forester, Ronald Lang'at, sustained injuries and complained of chest pains and was rushed to the Cottage Hospital for medical attention," said the police.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to Narok District Hospital mortuary, awaiting identification and postmortem examinations.

The vehicles were towed to Narok police station pending inspection.
