KNH is seeking orders to stop the industrial action to allow a conciliation between the KMPDU - the doctors' union and their employers within 30 days.

The Employment and Labour Court is hearing the case by the Kenyatta National Hospital seeking orders to stop doctors from proceeding with a strike.

KNH is seeking orders to stop the industrial action to allow a conciliation between the KMPDU - the doctors' union and their employers within 30 days.

But the doctors are opposing through lawyer Edgar Washika.

The hearing is ongoing before Justice Byrum Ongaya.

Washika believes that allowing the union to extend the strike is the only way to ensure that all parties involved comply with the agreement and that employers begin to take the situation seriously.
