The operation, executed by Anti-Narcotics detectives with support from the Transnational Organized Crimes Unit, was initiated following a tip-off.

“The suspect managed to evade capture during the raid. However, law enforcement officials are intensifying their efforts to locate and apprehend him,” a police report stated.

Upon entering his two-bedroom house, officers conducted a thorough search, uncovering the assault rifle loaded with a magazine containing 20 live rounds and also found a large quantity of bhang.

“The seizure of these items highlights the suspect's potential involvement in significant criminal activities within the region," noted a senior detective.

Police believe he received advance notice of their arrival, enabling his escape. Nevertheless, authorities say they remain confident in their pursuit, leveraging various resources and investigative techniques to track his movements.

“We are closing in on the suspect and are committed to bringing him to justice. The recovery of these items is a crucial step in dismantling the criminal network he is believed to be part of,” stated a senior officer involved in the operation.
