Kenya reveals Paris Olympics Marathon teams

By |

The final three and two reserves will be announced a day to the olympics

Kenya has finalized its men's and women's marathon teams for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Led by marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, the men's roster includes Vincent Kipkemoi Ngetich, Benson Kipruto, Timothy Kiplagat, and Alexander Mutiso.

Meanwhile, the women's team features world-record holder Brigid Kosgei, alongside Hellen Obiri, Ruth Chepngetich, Rosemary Wanjiru, Sharon Lokedi, and Peres Chepchirchir.

However, notable exclusions from the men's team include Bernard Kiprop Koech and Titus Kipruto, despite their strong performances in prestigious events like the London and Chicago Marathons. In the women's category, Joycilline Jepkosgei and Selev Chepyego Kaptich were also left out, despite their consistent showings in competitions.

The final three athletes and two reserves in each category will be announced just a day before the Olympics commence.
